Hardy Johnson

Only Son of three children of Dorcas Forcine and John Johnson.

His siblings included: Angie and Sarah. Angie married a Frochok, Lang, and Green. Sarah Johnson married a Parrish.

In 1865, he married Eliza Parrish, a freed slave. They would have nine children, including: Louisa, Charlotte, Lizzie, Amelia, Evaline, Lucy Ann, Jule, and Grace.

In 1870, they were living in Camden County, Georgia. The household, all born in Georgia, included: Hardee Johnson, age 28, a farmer; Eliza, age 25; Louisa, age 6; and Charlotte, age 1.

In 1900, they were living outside Woodbine, Satilla Mills, Camden County, Georgia, on a farm they owned free and clear. The household, all born in Georgia, included: Hardy Johnson, age 64, born March 1836, married 35 years; Eliza, wife, age 56, born February 1844, married 35 years, six living children of nine born; Lucy A., daughter, age 16, born April 1884; Grace, daughter, age 13, born April 1837; Liza, granddaughter, age 11, born October 1888; Amelia Miller, daughter, age 19, born December 1880, married, no children, domestic for husband; Dorcas Johnson, mother, age 95, born April 1805, widow, one child, owns farm free.

In 1910, they were living on the farm they owned in Military District 31, in Camden County, Georgia. The household included: Hardee Johnson, age 67; Eliza, age 64; their daughter Lucy Ann's two daughters, Cornelia Scott, age 5; and Lucille Scott, age 2.

In 1920, they were still living on their farm in Miliary District 31, Camden County. The household included: Hardy Johnson, age 84; Eliza, age 82; Eveline Ford, their daughter, age 40; Amelia Scott, their granddaughter, age 14; and Hardy Miller, their grandson by their daughter Amelia Miller, age 12, born in Jacksonville, Florida.
