Jabez Huntington

age 81 Only son of General Jedidiah and Faith Trumbull Huntington.

Paternal grandson of Jabez and Elizabeth Backus Huntington; maternal grandson of Governor Jonathan and Faith Robinson Trumbull/Trumble.

He married Mary Lanman Huntington (1775-9/29/1809) on December 12, 1792, recorded at Norwich. Their children included: ~ Jedidiah ~ Faith ~ Peter L, 1799-1802 ~ Sarah L (1802-1836), wife of Rev Eli Smith ~ Edward B, born 1806 ~ Peter

He married Sarah Lanman on October 21, 1810, recorded at Norwich. She was the sister of his first wife. The marriage was expressed by Reverend Walter King of the Second Congregational Church of Norwich as "unlawful" which led to King's dismissal as pastor.
