James "Jim" Blaine Troyer

James B. Troyer, 64, of Galena Succumbs.

Galena, Kan., Sept. 28.-James B. Troyer, 64 years old, of 1204 Princeton street, died at 2 o'clock this morning at Mary's hospital in Baxter Springs, where he had been a patient six weeks. He had been ill five months.

Born at Clayton, Ind. Novemer 16, 1884, he came to Galena about 40 years ago. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Baptist church. He had never married.

Surviving are three brothers, Garfield Troyer of California, Ed Troyer of Ada, Okla. and William Troyer of the home here, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie McFall of Joplin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Derfelt-Boon funeral home. The Rev. S. D. Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Emmanuel cemetery, southeast of Carthage. Nephews will act as pallbearers. The body will lie in state at the funeral home.
