Stirnet's "Burton01" page mentions this John's attached parents and their issue, but this John is not named among their issue. Furthermore, the record for this John in Barton Historical & Genealogical Society's Barton Database (link below) does not mention his parents. It should be noted that the Burton family of Shropshire had no cadet branch in Kent in the 16th century, but a Barton family was known to be in Kent in the 16th century, members of which lived at Hadlow and East Peckham and in Aldington Parish. Further research is warranted.
