In the matter of the Estate of John Donahoe dec'd.... a petition for the appointment of guardians for the infant heirs--In this matter now comes Elizabeth Donahoe widow of deceased and as her petition is verified on oath she moshens to the court that there are eight infant heirs to wit Hannah Donahoe, Rachel Donahoe and Elias Donahoe who are over the ages of foorteen years, and Rebeccah Donahoe, Eliza Anne Donahoe, Polly Donahoe, Morgan Donahoe, and John Donahoe who are under the age of fourteen years, and praying that she may be appointed guardian and the said petitioner...

In the matter of the Estate of John Donahoe: on citation for settlement

Now comes Elizabeth Donahoe administratrix of the estate if John Donahoe, dec'd and her petition filed and verified on oath, the settlement of the accounts of the said estate is continued until the next term of this court.

(almost unreadable) The---given by Elizabeth Donahoe administratix of John Donahoe dec'd with Edward Morgan and Enoch Morgan her securities is approved of by the court.

Probate Court March term 1830...be examined and the matters herein stated considered as true, and Hannah Donahoe, Rachel Donahoe, and Elias Donahoe the three heirs aforesaid who are over the age of fourteen years, each, now comes into court and makes it known to the court that it is their widh that the said Elizabeth Donahoe may be appointed thier guardian - and this matter is continued over the next term of this court, and the said Elizabeth Donahoe now also files her petition verfied oath shewing that there are no more assets to be administered, no debts due from said estate, to her knowledge, and that she is now ready to settle her administration account, the court now here therefore orders and directs that the said Elizabeth Donahoe notify all persons concerned, creditors and att...s by publication in the Indiana Palldium for three weeks in succession that the said estate will be settled at the next term of the court.

Probate court July term 1830: (Monday, July 5, 1830, Probate Court of Dearborn Co., Lawrenceburg, IN)

In the matter of the estate of John Donahoe deceased: on petition for settlement. Now comes Elizabeth Donahoe adminstratrix of John Donahoe dec'd...and she having at the last term of the court filed an account of the assets which came to her hands belonging to said estate amounting in all to two hundred and twenty nine dollars thirty two cents, as also an account of the monies disbursed and debts paid for said estate amounting to $156.13 cents including clerks fees as also a deficit in articles sold so much less than the appraisement if $14.62 1/2 cents as also an account of sundries taken by her as widow of the deceased amounting at the appraisement to $100, and which she was allowed by law to retain amounts in the whole to $270.75, and it appearing is the satisfaction of the court that due notice of this application for settlement has been published agreeably to the order of this court and that there are infant heirs of the said deceased John Donahoe the court therefore appoints Benjamin Morgan to be guardian ad litem for the infant heirs if the said John Donahoe to adjust and settle the accounts of the administration---and the accounts of the aforesaid having been adjusted by the court now here where found to stand thus wit amount of debts paid and disbursements made for said estate $156.13 cents, an allowance or deduction made for sundry articles taken by the widow at the appraisement as allowed by law, amounting to $100 - making a sum estate of $270.76 and it also appearing that the assets are come to her heirs as to be administered including some articles which sold for more than the appraisment amounts to $229.32 cents that the said Administratrix has disbursed and expensed for the use and benefit said estate the sum of forty one dollars and forty three cents over and above the amount of all assets which came to her hands to be administered, which sum is $44 (5).43 cents she is allowed to retain out and any assets belonging to said estate, which may come to her hands to be administered all of which is ordered adjudged and allowed by the court now here...and the court adjourned to nine o'clock to morrow morning.

Know all by these presents that we Thomas McCannon and Rebecca McCannon wife of said Thomas McCannon fo the County of Dearborn State of Indiana in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by John Donahoe of the same place have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto said John Donohoe his heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Dearborn and State of Indiana and in Township No. seven said Range on west of a meridian line drawn from the ...of the great Miami River to wit: commencing at a stone eight rods and link west if the South east corner of the south west quarter of section twenty three in said township and range and running, thence due North parallel with said quarter section line eighty rods to a stone thence due west then rods...links to a stone, thence due south eighty, rods to a stone on the quarter section line, thence due east ten rods and links to the place of Beginning to comprise the south of lot no. two in the plat or division of the above quarter section of land as divided by line of John Donnahoe deceased...to have and tol hold etc...Dec. 18, 1852.
