About John Flint, Sr.

Third son born in Salem Village MA to Thomas & Ann Flint. Married Elizabeth ____ of Salem MA, 12 Jun 1677 in Salem MA. Their child: Joshua Flint.

He was made Freeman, April 1690

The Flint Genealogy only shows nine children, but there are ten children of John and Elizabeth Flint in the Salem Vital Records, born before 1703, and there is only one known couple named John and Elizabeth Flint. I believe John and Elizabeth had a son they named Joseph 1693, who died young, and they named a second son Joseph who was born between 1696 and 1700.

His will mentions sons Joh, Stephen, Joshua and Joseph; daughters Hannah Tarbel, Lydia Phillips, Sarah Briant, Elizabeth Gillingham. Also son Benjamin Gillingham, by which no doubt he meant his son-in-law. Does not mention his wife.
