By 1860 his wife Polly was said to be a widow, living with the Robert Lull family.. but a Jonathan Burk of the right age was living with her. This suggests that the census taker may have made a mistake, unless there is another Jonathan

In the 1850 census Jonathan and Polly are living and the next household is that of Albert B. Burk with wife Lucy and son George

There were many cousin branches of the Burk family in and around Windsor county in the early 19th century
