Biography

Lady Ruth Power was born in 1598 in Curraghmore, Fenoagh, Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland. Her parents were Robert Pyphoe and Kinborough Pyphoe. She was a Baroness le Power and Coroghmore.

Ruth married John Power, 5th Baron Power of Curraghmore. Together they had the following children: Katherine Fitzgerald, Lady of Dromana and Decies; Richard Power, 1st Earl of Tyrone; Celia Bagot; David Power; Robert Power; John Power; Pierce Power; Margaret Power; Eleanor Walsh; Elizabeth Mary Lawrence.

She died on June 17, 1642 in Virginia and was buried in Virginia, United States.
