About Lizzie E. Wengerd
Lizzie E. Wengerd, 79, of 6176 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg, died Saturday, July 2, 2022 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born on April 13, 1943 in Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Eli R. and Amanda (Hershberger) Troyer. On Nov. 12, 1964 she married Levi A. Wengerd and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2013. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Wengerd of the home, Amanda (Truman) Raber and Erma (Orva) Kuhns both of Fredericksburg and Mary (Andy) Mast and Fannie Wengerd both of the home; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin (Lizzie) Troyer of Fredericksburg, Milton (Fannie) Troyer of Shreve, Jacob (Katie) Troyer of Holmesville and Eli Jr. Troyer of Fredericksburg; sisters, Fannie (Henry) Miller of Fredericksburg, Susie Yoder and Sadie (Andy) Schlabach both of Millersburg and Esther (Lester) Chupp and Ada (Joe) Miller both of Fredericksburg and a sister-in-law, Katie Troyer of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi; her parents, an infant brother, brother, Atlee Troyer, sister-in-law, Kathy Troyer and a brother-in-law, Crist Yoder.
Services will be Monday, July 4th at 9:00 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Wayne M. Shetler officiating. Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call Saturday after 2 p.m. at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements. A special thanks to the staff of LifeCare Hospice for their care and support.
