About Lucille Lichac(Pickard)
Lucille or Lu, Mom was the stern one of our parents. Dad spoiled us and mom had to hold the reins tight. She was from Misouri or as she said "Misourah". She was proud of where she came from and always told us stories of her family out in the midwest. She was a wonderful artist working with oil paints. To this day us four girls(daughters) cherish her paintings. Many of her grandchildren have some also and I am sure they will be passed down among the family as time goes by. She liked to collect stamps and coins and kept herself always busy. Her favorite flower was the rose. She faithfully believed in St. Theresa and the sign of the rose. Her mom's name was Rosie. To this day, I still pray to St. Theresa and ask for the sign of the rose when my prayer may be granted.
She also loved lilacs and growing up she would pick the lilacs and our house would have the scent of the sweetness. She loved music also, always having music on. Her favorites were Bing Crosby, Dean Martin,
Bobby Vinton singing Blue Velvet. She loved watching TV, one of her favorite shows was McGiver. What can I say...........I love and miss you mom!
