- Son of John Frederick Fishback and his 2nd wife, Eve or Eva Martin Martin Fishback was born in 1763 in northern Culpeper County at what is now known as "Fleetwood" in Jeffersonton. At the conclusion of the Revolutionary War, Martin returned to his home and married Lucy Amiss at the homestead in 1783 and lived out his life there. He died in 1842 in the same room in which he was born. Per Alix V., "Was born, married & died in same room of his home called "Fleetwood" in Culpeper Co., VA. Was a Rev War Solider and was present at the siege of Yorktown and surrender of Cornwallis."
Per notes received from Grace Kilby, 05-22-1999, there was an additional child of Martin and Lucy, Sarah. The notes show she married a Bowen and she inherited "Hebron," the Culpeper Farm, from her father in 1842. Also she had a son, Dr. George M. Bowen and he owned "Hebron" from 1866 - 1891.
