About Mary Elizabeth Schoun
Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth (Forsythe) Schoun, age 83, will be held Wednesday, June 25, at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs. Her son, Pastor Benjamin Schoun (Adventist World Radio), and her nephew, Chaplain Ron Forsythe (New Hope Hospice, Marion, Indiana) will be officiating.
Elizabeth was born December 21, 1924, near St. Francis, Kansas, to Zada Eunice Miner and Allen Ernest Forsythe. She died at her home in Laurel, Maryland, Sunday morning, June 8, 2008, after a brief illness. She was a member of the Beltsville Seventh-day Adventist Church where Pastor Kermit Netteburg conducted a memorial service for her, June 14.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann, and a son, Benjamin David, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
For nearly 30 years she was the Director of the Community Services Center of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs, Michigan, which gave out clothing and emergency supplies to individuals and families.
Internment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
