According to bio given to Shoah Foundation, birth name was Miksa Zisovics.
According to interview with Shoah Foundation, mother's name was Malvina, which was probably her Hungarian civil name. Siblings' names were Moishe, Rachel, and Chaya Esther (corresponding to Esther Solomon).
Taken to forced-labor (munkaszolgálat) battalions in Munkacs and Ungvar in 1940.

ZISOVIC, Max (95) Sept. 30, 1908- Dec. 27, 2003
Passed over peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, with his wife at his side. Born in Austria Hungary, holocaust survivor. Orthopaedic shoemaker for over 60 years, he took much pride in his workmanship. An honorable and religious man who took great pride in his family and home. He is greatly loved and dearly missed. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather. Max is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen, children Miriam Streeter, Deborah Beckman and David Zisovic (Amy); grandchildren Marlene Horowitz (Mark), Joshua Streeter; great-grandchildren Benjamin and Jacob Horowitz. Services Dec. 30, at 12 Noon at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills, CA.
