About Moses Salomo Levy Maduro
Moises (or Mozes) de Salomon Levy Maduro was the first colonist who was granted entry to Aruba with his wife and 6 children in 1754, leading the way for the arrival of more Europeans at the end of the eighteenth century. He got 108 hectare of land (Mahuma neighbourhood) from the West Indische Compagnie, to cultivate.
