Dear Dr. Barth, we are forwarding attached photo scans from the two requested marriage records of your grandparents Albert and Philomena Rebeka Bunzlau and of your great-grandparents Bernhard and Ludmilla Leah Frankl. From these two records I may explain the family situation as follows: Ludmilla Leah Stankowits née Groh, born Sept 15,1852 in Temesvar, converted from catholic to Jewish religion right before her marriage to Bernhard Frankl in Oct. 1878 at „ Leopoldstadter Tempel". Filomena Rebeka Stankowits rekte Groh later FRANKL, born Dec 27,1875 in Vienna, converted one day after her mother to Jewish religion (on Sept 16,1878). In this record of conversion we can also see that she was officially recognised by the father Bernhard Frankl by court decision of March 16,1880. For Bernhard Franz Carl Ernest Groh later FRANKL, born May 3,1877 in Vienna (catholic birth register) we can see that he converted to Jewish religion in April 1879.
