in the 33d year of his Ministry & in the 66 of his age. As a Husband & Father he was tender & affectionate, as a neighbor & friend generous & sincere. The great & Central doctrines of the Gospel he understandingly believed & faithfully preached.
Possessed of that wisdom which is first pure, then peacible he was often employ'd by the Churches in council & by the Great Head of the Church as an instrument in turning many to righteousness.
