m2 Sarah Smith. Her will was probabed in York County on July 21, 1740.

There are also records showing her as Sarah HIGGASON or HIGANSON.

A likely scenario is that there were two wives, both prenamed Sarah, one SARAH GARLAND and the other SARAH HIGANSON. One of these two wives was previously the widow of Mr. SMITH (above).

There is considerable doubt about the maiden name as well as the birth date of Sarah Cosby. Most records give no maiden name. Birth dates are recorded as 1621, 1623, 1626 and 1630.
