About Sir Peter Pindar, of Idenshaw, 1st Baronet
Biographical Summary
Peter Pindar, of Edinshaw [i.e., Idenshaw], co. Chester, Esq., s. of Reginald Pindar, of Southwell, Notts (d. about 1644), by Frances, da. of John Steere, of Farley, was Collector of the Customs at Chester, and having purchased the estate and manor of Idenshaw from his wife's brother, John Hurleston, was cr. a Baronet, as above, 22 Dec. 1662. He m. firstly, Judith, da. and coheir of Jeffrey Walkenden, of the Inner Temple. He m. secondly, Dorothy, da. of John Hurleston, of Pickton, co. Chester. He was living 8 Sep. 1687, but d. in or before 1693. Will pr. 1693.
