1475: Notarial instrument narrating that Thomas Boswel [Boswell] and William Abircrummy [Abercombie], procurators for David Boswel of Glasmont [Boswell of Glassmount] and David Boswel of Balmowltow [Boswell of Balmuto], his father, asked William Lewinstoun of Drumry [Livingston of Drumry] to seal a letter of security concerning the right of patronage of the parish church of Ochterderay [Auchterderran], in accordance with the compromise, dated 7th April 1475 [see GD66/1/5] and the decreet arbitral, dated 3rd June 1475 [see GD66/1/7], and that the said William refused. 7 April 1475: Indenture between William of Lewinstoun of Drumry [Livingston of Drumry] and David Bosuell of Glasmont [Boswell of Glassmount], with consent of his father David Bosuell of Balmulto [Boswell of Balmuto], whereby they bind themselves to accept a compromise suggested by the arbitors, [see GD66/1/6] in the disputes concerning the superiorities of the east part of Lochoirschir [Lochore] and Murcambuss [Muircambus], with the tenandries of the same, and the donation and presentation of the parish church of Ochirderay [Auchterderran]. 27 May 1475: Decreet-arbitral by John the Ross of Halkhed [Halkead], knight, Robert Douglass of Louchlewyne [Douglas of Loch Leven] and Alexander Ingliss of Tarvat [Inglis of Tarvit], arbiters for David Boswell of Glasmont [Boswell of Glassmount], with consent of David Boswel of Balmwltow [Boswell of Balmuto], his father, in the action between the latter and William Lewinstown of Drumry [Livingston of Drumry] ordaining that said David Boswel, younger, should have the donation of the parish church of Ouchterderay [Auchterderran], and the superiorities of Lochgelly and Balmongy [Balmungo], heritably, and the said William Lewinstoune should have the tenandries of Pitkarne, Coquhelleis, Petkenny, the Raith, Glennistoun, and Polguld [Powguild] heritably. 3 June 1475: Decreet-arbitral by Laurence, Lord Oliphant, Alexander Setoune of Parbrothoc [Seton of Parbroath], and George of Grenlaw [Greenlaw], burgess of Edinburgh, overmen to the arbiters [see GD66/1/6] for David Boswele of Glasmont [Boswell of Glassmount], with the consent of his father, David Boiswele of Balmulto [Boswell of Balmuto], and William of Levingstone of Drumry [Livingston of Drumry] ordaining that the tenandries of Petcarne, Coquhellus, Petkywny, Raith, Glennestoune, Polgulde, Lochgelly, and Balmongy [Balmungo] should remain with the said William of Levingstone and the donation of the parish kirk of Uchterdery [Auchterderran] with the said David Boswele, younger.
