The Jurors aforesaid upon their Oaths do present That William Marston of the said Manor is possessed of certain premises situate at the top of Deansgate within the said Manor and being so possessed thereof on the [Blank] day of [Blank] in the forty second Year of the Reign of George the Third by the Grace of God of the united Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King and on divers other days and times since with force and arms in the Manor aforesaid, the said William did then and there burn and cause and procure to be burned in and upon the said Premises divers large quantities of Cork wood and when burnt did cause and procure the same to be cleansed and did thereby then and there unlawfully and injuriously make and cause and procure to be made great quantities of Smoke dirt Soot and dust which then and there by reason of the burning of the said Cork Wood issued into and upon the Dwellinghouses of divers of his Majesty's leige Subjects within the said Manor and into and upon divers Streets and Common Highways there to the great damage and common Nusance of the Inhabitants of the said Manor and all other the Subjects of our said Lord the King passing in and through the said Streets and Common Highways Whereupon the Court doth amerce the said William in the sum of Twenty pounds
