john van ausdoll (various other spellings)

I am searching for john van ausdoll. He is listed as the father on george van ausdoll's marriage license. There are 3 different spellings of the last name on that document. George was raised by an uncle, so I am not sure if john is the uncle or father. George was born in 1859 supposedly in Holland. I am at a deadend and need any help I can get. Thanks!
