How do you add photos or documents in here.? Just moved here from Saugus. I do have some connections. Also notice the Cabot and Orne families ate not listed unless I missed them on the list. Been walking around taking photos of all the old houses and their signs. A couple of names on that list I have seen their houses.Judy

Thanks Katherine, I looked and for the Little John they only had a partial list of passengers.
The Ann, of course came out of Holland, so my family would not have been on that one, though the passenger list was complete and didn't have them.
Richard "The Immigrant" Norman is listed as a member of the group arriving in 1623 as a shipwright , but not on the ships registry.
Would anyone have a connection or a lead to Essex England historical information?

I was very disappointed. I just moved to Salem and am down the street from P EM and figured I'd have a place to and nothing. Not only that their library is next to useless. Very small Gen room. Didn't even know who the Orne family is and it's a really big family in Salem but they didn't know and Athanamin is even worst. I had been to the one in Portsmouth, a wonderful place, nice people, very helpful, lots of info, so of course I was expecting to see the same in Salem. No no no
. Nothing but new books and they said only P EM have info and they kept trying to get me to Peabody and I kept telling them originally from Saugus, new to Salem , have no clur about Peaby and they kept , well you know where sucjh and such is in Peabody and I'd say , I know nothing about Peabody. But they kept it up. Very deprssing. Well, at least the Reg, of probate and Deeds is still here and I live next door.
Registry will have great information! I found tons of lists of documents on file at PEM. But you can't look at most of it online. I emailed them and they were very quick to reply, but short of getting in to look at documents, it doesn't help. Part of the problem is that Salem was much larger in the early days. Much info actually would be in other towns in the area. I found this tidbit online.

Maybe a field trip to Marblehead is in order
Good luck in your search :)
Probate Deeds office also has a map room. I got a copy of a letter my several times back Great grandfather wrote to Timothy Orne of Salem, his brother-in-law. date June 27, 1762, two days after my Benjamim Parker married Anna Tayor, sister of Orne's wife. It 's an interesting letter. I wish they were open here in Salem so I could pro-rouse the Orne files. There are a lot of them.
