John Davies - Parents of John Davies born 1802

John Davies, was born in South Wales.
His mother died due to complications in labor.
His father (name unknown) was at sea at the time of his birth.
Reportedly the nurse, Alice Davies, adopted the little one and called him after her.
It is not known whether the father returned to claim the child.
We hope to discover the true circumstances of his birth.
He converted to the LDS Church while in Wales and later immigrated from Pembrokeshire, South Wales, to join the body of the church in Salt Lake City, Utah.

More recently, from the LDS Family Search website (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/M4H8-PYL), more information concerning his parents has been found, however as I have not reviewed any hard documents, (parish records for christenings, births, deaths, etc.) this additional information remains tentative. It may also require some cleaning up of dates, places as there is some conflicting information entered within numerous entries for the persons named.
