=Note:=
This Delaware Indian claim is according to Robyn Hyde only, no historical evidence exists, yet, for this as a fact before the publishing of Passport to Hell.
Wyald Stark has consistently noted his place of birth as South florida USA on all his documents ie NZ naturalisation and also his Marriage certificate to Elizabeth Cooper at Inglewood, Victoria in Australia. But no where does it state his ethnic descent.
However, there is documentary evidence for his certainly being a man of colour. His obituary refers to him as being dark and in his photos he does not appear european.
My personal take is that he probably was Afro American and/or Native American.
Passport to has Hell has more than one inaccuracy. For example, who is Anita, the Spanish woman who rocked Starkie in his cradle. I am certain his mother's name was Florence.
So we cannot let Passport to Hell become the absolute truth without being able to back it up with evidence.
Please, please, will someone take a genetic test and see if we can get some certainty on this question.
