Mother & I visited in 1959.The fjord was smooth as a mirror. Late in the evening mother commented that Elias Blix must have had a scene like this in his mind when he composed "Barndomsminne frå Nordland." Margit said "He certainly did since he grew up across the fjord." She also told us about the winter storm that was so strong the outhouse was blown to smithereens and the seat hole ended up in a tree across the yard.
