TIDWELL/TIDESWELL/TIDESWALLOF DEBRYSHIRE AND STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND ?

Anyone related to the Family Line of Tideswell of Tideswell, Derbyshire, England ?

Goes back to William Tuedesuelle and Warin of Tideswell c. 1200-1300.

It seems that I am through paternal DNA. I have the I-M253 (Y-DNA) marker. I am unable to locate my direct line of ancestors in my family tree further back than my great great grandfather.

quick clarification - my brother Christopher has this marker (it is only carried by men)

I am IM-253, I have only been able to trace my line to Peter Cooke born 1673 in Tarvin,Chershire England. He died in 1713 while sailing to the U.S. with his wife and 6 living children. His family settled in the U.S.

I have I-M253 (Y-DNA) too, my ancestors between 1733 - 1918 have been living in South-west Finland. But some Exact Y-DNA matches I have also in Worcestershire, England and one in Southern Sweden and one in Central Sweden. One step matches I have in Swineshead, Lincolnshire (England) and in Kreien (Nothern Germany) and several in Sweden and some in Norway. We may say that men in South-West Finland have something common (at genetical level) with men in other European countries.

I have some Tidwells who are Y37 GD3 matches with me. I haven't found any Tidwell Big Y results. I have done Big Y-700 and my terminal haplogroup has been defined as I-A6181. It belongs to the I1 (I-M253) haplogroup.

My paternal line has been in Finland at least from 1500s according to written documents, but most probably couple of centuries earlier since the Viking times or so.

I did put my FamilyTreeDNA raw data (?) to Nevgen.org calculator and the resulting haplogroup is I-Y92046 with probability 98,3% from 300-400 centuries Iron-Age in western "Finland".
