When I left Germany to work in China ind the mid 1990ies, my mother once mentioned that my grandmother Anna Maria did have a sister who used to live in Beijing/China at the beginning of the last century. I never heard from anyone else about this sister, until today (27. July 2018) I found a record fromTammerfors (Finland) where the birth of a Thyra Karolina Sandberg is recorded. So, Anna Maria had a sister and probably the other part (living in China) might be true as well.
