Rebecca Dunham (Norton) - Rebecca's last name

My info on Rebecca shows that her last name is unknown. It has been shown time and time again that the Dunham Genealogy book is full of errors. There was no proof of the last name Norton. Is there some new evidence I am not aware of?

Per Charles E. Banks' 1925 History of Martha's Vineyard (3:154) citing the Dunham Genealogy, Daniel Dunham of Edgartown, Mass. m. Rebecca Norton, with Banks inserting the following footnote:

"The Dunham Genealogy calls her Rebecca Norton, but there was no one of that name at this period to answer the statement. The same authority gives her death as at Easthampton, Conn. 3 Feb. 1783, "aged" 99 years, 8 mos., and these statements are here recorded for what they are worth."
As Banks stated, that Rebecca was born nee Norton is not confirmable by any of the several known Norton families residing on Martha's Vineyard in 1683.
