Hello,
I am starting this discussion because the parents of Richard Higgins are unknown and the parentage commonly attributed to him, namely Edward Higgins and Julia Elizabeth Higgins is fraudulent. Apparently this Higgins connection has the fingerprints of Gustav Anjou on it and even includes fabricated locations and monuments. Katherine Chapin Higgins originally included this lineage in her book, Richard Higgins and His Descendants, but in a later supplement acknowledges that the pedigree is fake and explains all the problems with it (pg 6). https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89063106876&view=1up&...

I have therefore detached Richard Higgins from Edward and Julia, but I am a little uncertain over what to do with their profiles. Did they actually exist and Richard Higgins was stuck on as their child, or are they also fictitious? The fabrications in the lineage published in The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Volume 46 renders the whole lineage questionable and I was wondering if anyone had any sources for them or ideas on how to treat their profiles.
