In my article on James Adams of Westerly, RI in "The CT Nutmegger" vol. 25 #4pgs. 573 - 575, I showed that James of Westerly was probably the same as the James Adams b. 29Mar1668 Concord, MA s/o James & Priscilla (Ramsden). This James sr. d. in Concord 1707. In the distribution of his estate is made mention of his dau. Priscilla, the wife of William Hardy of "Narraganset".In the Westerly, RI land records, vol. 1, pg. 213 dated 28Sep1701, Henry Hall sold 40 acres of land to William Hardy.James Adams also had land adjoining William & Priscilla Hardy.A deed in the Middlesex Co. Land records vol. 12, pg. 392, dated 12 May 1698 refers to James Adams jr as "formerly of Concord".

The deed also mentions William Hardy as having land bounding the property mentioned in the deed. Finally, James Adams jr of Concord also had a brother Nathaniel who died young, for whom he may have named one of his sons

Additionally, he was not the husband of Priscilla Shorey (b Abt 1672). The 1690 Marriage at Concord of James Adams to Priscilla Shorey was his father James Adams, of Concord remarrying to Jonathan Shore’s widow Priscilla (Priscilla Adams).
