1770-1775 on the Rasi Farm in Kihniö
måg Thomas Johanss (17.6.1746), hu Maria Mattsdr (19.3.1747)

I followed him until his death on 08.01.1825 in Parkano, Turku Pori, Finland. His death continues to be recorded as 17.6.1746.

Now why do I believe this Thomas Johansson is the son of Johan Smedman and Maria Bertilsdr:
His birth and christening dates were recorded as 7/6 and 7/20. Normally the dates would be written 6/7 and 20/7. So the 6 1746 date in early communion books could be a misread of the birth record. In researching his sister Brita Johansdotter (12.8.1732) I found that she married a Johan Mattsson from Lammentaka. He took the name Smed when he became a soldier. His date of birth was 17.6.1731. Could this be where the birth date of 17.6 came from?
