I am looking for any info relating to my grandfather.
He was born on 23 April 1923 in Modderfontein/Ritchie. He passed away on 20 May 2012 in Port Elizabeth.
He was married to my grandmother, Josey Domingas Botes (nee Da Silva). They got married in Roodepoort on 25 Oct 1966.
As per my gran, his parents were Lourens Joachim Botes and Catherine Botes. He had a boy whom passed away out of his first marriage who was named Lourens Joachim (after his father). The boy was a few months old when he passed away - as per my gran - my grandfather left his first wife due to this as he believed it was her fault. He blamed her for not looking after the baby. He then married my gran. But that is all my gran could tell me.
I have no further details relating to his parents.
