The 1594 works for her unfound? marriage to Cuthbert Ellison if she married by 17 and is the mother of a child born 1611 (Christopher Ellison).

HEEE HEEE HEEE
oh wait.
It's not really Dorothy who was born 1580.
It's Constance Mary Dudley who married Stephen Hopkins

I am not convinced that Dorothy is the daughter of Anne Wood. I think she's the dau of Robert JR (whose wife I've never been able to find but don't believe there's actually a Bridget Green because the Green brothers seen in VA at Edward's house are too young to be her "brothers" as in the family legend. I think he might be the "other" Robert Dudley buried in 1612. I've never figured out WHICH one died then and the other buried 7 May 1613

I think Genimail ate the message. Looked at Dorothy & family anyway - looks pretty good except Dorothy's birth(christening?) date is too close to her brother's. And is that February 02, 1577 Old Style (1577/8) or New Style (1577), or crocked (1576/77)? The English calendar year began March 25 until 1752 (no, Tolkien didn't pull that out of his ear!).
