There are many similarities between Peter Benjamin Groover and Peter Groover. Peter Groover magically appeared in Orange County, North Carolina in 1780. He listed his birthday as 1762 on a Revolutionary pension application. Both Peters have a listed death date of 1841, Both Peters were married to a Sarah. I do know Peter of 1762 fame had a great deal of money, owning ca. 1,000 acres near present day downtown Atlanta by 1830. Does anyone have any further information of Peter Benjamin Groover?
