Charles Gates - Sons

Did this Charles actually name two sons William - William John and William Jefferson?

I always ask in cases like this, just to be sure. I know that WIlliam John's lineage has been confirmed by the DAR but there is nothing in the profile for William Jefferson's to validate his parentage:

William Jefferson Gates

So it just made me wonder if he is connected to the right family since he and a brother would both be named William.
