Ann (Compton) Putnam - Was she previously married?

Was wondering if she was married prior to Edmund Putnam , yes very confusing too , saw this post on Wikitree ( 'Will of John Comtoun or Compton, Carpenter in The Dragon's Claw of Greenwich, Kent.' of 1623 mentions a wife called Anne. It looks like he died young } in 1623 , Edmund & Anne/ Ann married following year 1624 , children Ann & Edmund is correct

Any thoughts?
