Edward Elliott jr. married Helga Nygard 1st husband He is my grandfather. NOT second husband Robert Oja so we have to do a few adjustments to what is written. Edward Elliott Jr. married in 1920 and had my father Gilbert J. Elliott b. Jan 1921 died Oct. 1966 they also had son Robert Elliott b. 1925 these are the sons that they had together. Edward Elliott Jr. d 1926 Helga remarried in 1929 to Robert Oja and had Hannah and Arthur, {Gordon born dead}, Shirley Ruth.

Just want you to remove Robert Oja as my grandfather. Edward Elliott Jr. is my grandfather. After Helga remarried she changed the names of Gilbert Elliott and Robert Elliott to Oja on the census but NEVER in court so the names are interchangeable in her mind and made it hard for school records also. Gilbert always went as Elliott once he could put his name on things like all his jobs and in the WW2 service records. Robert never excepted the 2 children and was mean with them.
