Charles O. McFarland, 75 years old, a business man here forty years, died today in St. Elizabeth's hospital, Lafayette, after a long illness. He was known widely as a horse buyer and bought many horses which were uses in the Boer war. He also operated a cab line here many years. Survivors are two sons, Russell McFarland of Chicago and Edward McFarland of [Zanesville], O. Funeral services will be held her Monday with burial in Danville, Ill. [1]
Charles McFarland, 75, of Crawfordsville, died Saturday morning at 3 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital. Two sons, one living in Chicago, and one in Zanesville, O., survive. The body was taken to Crawfordsville by Murphy and Utterback, funeral directors. [2]
