I noticed on Ancestry different parents for this Missouri (Lenoir) Caruthers:

I was looking at the profile of William Thomas Lenoir on Ancestry nd they have this:

Selvin (1840–) - which I'm wondering if this Selvin is the 'Sel' Lenoir showing as the father on Missouri Lenoir. Actually, the dates would make more sense since William Thomas Lenoir was born 1811, Selvin was born 1840 and Missouri was born 1860.
