Joseph Lefkowitz -- Birth Date: 10 Sep 1885 -- Birth Place: Hungary -- Father: Ignaz Lefkowitz -- Mother: Hannah Kiss -- SSN -- Signature on SSN Card: Jos Lefkowitz -- Relationship of Signature: Signature name differs from NH’s name. -- Notes: Apr 1937: Name listed as JOSEPH LEFKOWITZ
AND - for a diiferent SSN -
Joseph Lefkowitz -- Birth Date: 10 Sep 1883 -- Birth Place: Hungary -- Father: Ignatz Lefkowitz -- Mother: Hannah Kiss -- SSN --Notes: Dec 1936: Name listed as JOSEPH LEFKOWITZ

It seems like the same person applied in Dec 1936 and Apr 1937 and was uncertain of his Birth Year, giving 1883 one time, 1885 the other

He was imported to the tree on December 4, 2019 by Rodger Rosenberg
along with his brother Samuel, and their parents.

Given the additional family members he included for Samuel, it is clear Samuel is the Samuel listed as Samuel Lefkowith in this Marriage Intentions listing

And as Samuel Lefkovith in this article on the marriage https://www.newspapers.com/clip/21060612/boston-globe-9-april-1894/ in which it is spelled out that Joseph is his brother, and Joseph married Rosa Berger.

However, the Joseph Lefkowith (= Lefkovith) who married Rosa Berger in 1894 was the son of Ignatz & Hannah BUT he was listed as age 28 on that marriage record. 1894-28 = 1866. On the 1900 and 1910 Census he was listed as 33 and 43 respectively, suggesting born 1867. On his Naturalization Petition he claims he was born 15th August 1869 - in Kojata, Hungary.
His wife is a widow on the 1930 Census. This is probably the Memorial for him https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/183828101/joseph-lefkowitz
He was not alive in 1936 or 1937.
So who is the Joseph Lefkowitz who filled out those two SSN Applications in 1936 and 1937?
