Passed away, peacefully, at Redwood Lifestyle Care and Village, Blenheim, on September 9, 2015. Aged 87 years.
Dearly loved husband of Eileen for 57 years.
Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of David and Naomi (Wellington), Joya and Paul (Nelson) and Melinda (Mindy) and Steve (Tetley Brook, Marlborough).
Much loved grandad of Ben, Miles, Louisa, Luke and Freddy.
Loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of the late Sachindranath and Uma Roy Chowdhury; the late Santwana and Sisir Sarkar; the late Shudhindranath, and Sulochana Roy Chaudhury (India); Salindranath and Jharna Roy Chaudhury (Bangalore, India); and the late Archana and J.M. Roy.
Loved uncle to all his nephews and nieces in India, United States and other parts of the world.
The family would like to thank Wendy Nicholson and her team at Redwood for their dedication and care of Roy.
