The Janet Maxwell who was the daughter of William Maxwell and Betty Kerr was born on 1st July 1800 and baptised the following day. This Janet Maxwell gave birth to her first child in 1810.
Lest one of you is tempted to copy another incorrect tree without doing any research, this Janet Maxwell is not the daughter of John Maxwell & Jean Stitt, who was born in Tynron, either. That woman never married and she died in Scotland.
At the present time I am unaware of any evidence that identifies this Janet Maxwell's parents.
