Ebenezer Cleaves supposedly married in Gloucester, [wid. Anne. int.] Anna Stevens, Mar. 4, 1744.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cleaves-254 has that Ebenezer Cleaves did not marry her but that his son, Ebenezer, did.

The ancestry of Sarah Stone, wife of James Patten of Arundel (Kennebunkport) Maine, page 12 (link - https://archive.org/details/ancestryofsarahs00davi/page/12/mode/2up) has Ebenezer Cleaves as the husband of the widow Stevens.

However, when I look at the widow Stevens, it makes much more sense for her to be married to the son. Anna Davis was born May 25, 1724 in Gloucester. She married William Stevens, jr., Dec. 20, 1740. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stevens-24900 for more info on him.

Unfortunately, the marriage record for Ebenezer and the widow does not specify "jr" or "sr". However, the birth records of Gloucester have Ebenezer & Anna with children born in 1761 and 1763 after the date of death for Ebenezer Cleaves.

Note - there is another profile for Ebenezer (father) - Ebenezer Cleaves - that will be merged into the other one once an issue with his wife, Sarah, is resolved.)
