<p>Etienne and Marie Louise were first cousins and not allowed to marry.</p><p> </p>Etienne arrived in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, C: 1847. The Brindamour name was angicized to Brown in Rhode Island. They first settled in Hamlet Village, where they worked for Mr. Wardwell who owned that village's factory at the time.
