1st Lieutenant Harry Holmes

1st Lieutenant Harry Holmes was School master. He was born on 10 November 1891 at Annesley Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England.

He was the son of Isaac Holmes and Emma Getliffe.

1st Lieutenant Harry Holmes served in Duke of Wellingtons Regiment in 1914 Between 1914 - 1918 was 1st Lieutenant. (Act. Captain) Duke of Wellingtons Regiment, Invalided out, stationed Halifax.

He married Elizabeth Getliffe, daughter of John Thomas Getliffe and Martha Billsdon, on 25 March 1916 at Methodist Chapel, Claremont Street, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.

1st Lieutenant Harry Holmes married Hester Kathleen Elsey in December 1933 at Register Office, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. 1st Lieutenant Harry Holmes died on 12 January 1983 at Aylsham Hospital, Aylsham, Norfolk, England, at age 91.
