George Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, KG, GCSI, GCIE, PC (11 January 1859 – 20 March 1925), known as The Lord Curzon of Kedleston between 1898 and 1911 and as The Earl Curzon of Kedleston between 1911 and 1921, was a British Conservative statesman who was Viceroy of India and Foreign Secretary, but who was passed over as Prime Minister in 1923 in favour of Stanley Baldwin. The Curzon Line was named after him.

Sir George Nathaniel Curzon, 1st and last Marquess Curzon of Kedleston was born on 11 January 1859.1 He was the son of Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon, 4th Baron Scarsdale and Blanche Senhouse.1 He married, firstly, Mary Victoria Leiter, daughter of Levi Zeighler Leiter, on 22 April 1895. He married, secondly, Grace Elvina Hinds, daughter of J. Monroe Hinds, on 2 January 1917.3 He died on 20 March 1925 at age 66 at 1 Carlton House Terrace, London, England, without male issue.4
Sir George Nathaniel Curzon, 1st and last Marquess Curzon of Kedleston was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of President of the Oxford Union Society in 1880.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire, Southport Division between 1886 and 1889.1 He held the office of Under-Secretary of State for India between 1891 and 1892.1 He was decorated with the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society in 1895.4 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1895.1 He held the office of Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs between 1895 and 1898.1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.) in 1898.1 He was created 1st Baron Curzon of Kedleston, co. Derby [Ireland] on 11 November 1898.1 He held the office of Viceroy of India between January 1899 and 1905.1 He held the office of Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports between 1904 and 1905.1 He was created 1st Baron Ravensdale, of Ravensdale, co. Derby [U.K.] on 2 November 1911, with a special remainder to his daughters.1 He was created 1st Earl Curzon of Kedleston, co. Derby [U.K.] on 2 November 1911.1 He was created 1st Viscount Scarsdale, of Scarsdale, co. Derby [U.K.] on 2 November 1911, with a special remainder to his father.1 He was created 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, co. Derby [U.K.] on 28 June 1912.1 He held the office of Lord Privy Seal between 1915 and 1916.1 He held the office of President of the Air Board in 1916.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1916.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Scarsdale in 1916. He succeeded to the title of Baronet Curzon in 1916. He held the office of Lord President of the Council between 1916 and 1919.1 He held the office of Leader of the House of Lords between 1916 and 1924.1 He held the office of Lord President of the Council between 1924 and 1925.1
On his death, his marquess, earldom and Irish barony all became extinct.4
