About William Hale John Charles Pery, 3rd Earl of Limerick
Career
He succeeded as the 4th Baron Glentworth of Mallow on 5 January 1866. He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Limerick on 5 January 1866. He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Limerick of the City of Limerick on 5 January 1866. He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Foxford of Stackpole Court, co. Clare on 5 January 1866. He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria. He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 5th Battalion, Royal Munster Fusiliers. He held the office of a Lord-in-Waiting between 1886 and 1889. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.). He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1889. He held the office of Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard between 1889 and 1892. He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 18921 He held the office of Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard between 1895 and 1896.
Marriage and children
He married, firstly, his first cousin, Caroline Maria Gray, daughter of Reverend Henry Gray and Hon. Emile Caroline Pery, on 28 August 1862. Lady Caroline Pery, Countess of Limerick died in 1877.
His son with Lady Caroline was William Henry Edmond de Vere Sheaffe Pery, 4th Earl of Limerick b. 16 Sep 1863, d. 18 Mar 1929
He married, secondly, Isabella Colquhoun, daughter of James Charles Henry Colquhoun, on 20 October 1877.
