Dr. Karl Babor Camp doctor was an expert with the phenol syringe, he took care to always administer slightly more than the lethal dose – “just to make sure.”

Suicide Found in Ethiopia Identified as Nazi Doctor

Jan. 23, 1964, The New York Times

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, Jan. 22 (Reuters) —A body found by American hunters 120 miles north of Addis Ababa was identified here today as that of Dr. Karl Babor, a former Nazi S.S. captain wanted by the Austrian police on war crimes charges.

The police said he shot himself in the head five days ago. His car was found some distance away. He lived in Ethiopia for 13 years, working as a general practitioner.

The Jewish Documentation Center in Vienna says Dr. Babor, 45 years old, was a concentration camp doctor at a camp near Breslau where medical experiments were performed on inmates. He denied it.
