- "EARL PATTERSON, age 70, a resident of Grand Prairie since 1996, formerly of Irving, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas.
- "Born August 2, 1944 in Athens, Tennessee, he was the son of William Henry Patterson and Lena Mae Sylvester Patterson. On April 18, 1965, he married Brenda Ann Queen in Athens.
- "Earl was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, William “Bill” Patterson and Roy Lee Patterson. Survivors include his wife, Brenda of Grand Prairie; sons, Jeff Patterson and wife Dawn of Irving, Keith Patterson and wife Christine of The Colony and Shawn Patterson and wife Michelle of The Colony; seven grandchildren, Daniel Hoyt, Beau Patterson, Brittany Bunten, Corey Patterson, Hailey Patterson, Kaitlyn Patterson and Chase Patterson; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Cassidy; brothers, Jerry “Bruno” Gene Patterson and wife Barbara Jean of Crossville, Tennessee, Darrell Patterson and wife Ann of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Panky Patterson and wife Denise of Athens, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
- "Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 20 followed by the service at 7:30 p.m. at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving with Darren Mechling officiating. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery."
