THE ANCESTRY AND DESCENDANTS OF AARON AND AMY COPPOCK by Alvin L. Anderson, PH.D., states: "Aaron Coppock, the immigrant ancestor, was born in Cheshire England. A baptismal certificate dated February 6, 1666, was located for him at Mobberly Parish, Chester County, in Cheshire (England), listing him as the son of John Coppock". I have one other reference stating "John Coppock, 1636, marr Susan Lowe, of Wilmslow, Cheshire", taken from the COPPOCK AND COATE GENEALOGY.
From "A Collection of Memorials Concerning Diverse Deceased Ministers and Others of the People called Quakers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and parts adjacent, from nearly the first Settlement thereof in the Year 1787" no author given, printed by Joseph Crukshank, Market Street, Philadelphia, 1787, pages 64-5 we have the following account:
A testimony from Nottingham Monthly-Meeting in Pennsylvania, concerning Aaron Coppock. "It appears he was born in Cheshire in Old England, the 25th of the tenth month 1662, was convinced of the truth when a young man, came to America soon after and lived near Chester; about the year 1714 he, with his family, settled at Nottingham in said county; being a man of an exemplary conduct and much esteemed by friends, he was chosen an elder for the particular meeting of East Nottingham, until he appeared in public testimony, and therein was often concerned to exhort friends to a life of self denial, watchfulness and prayer, the which he did in great sincerity, zeal and innocency. In the forepart of his last illness he complained of much poverty but before he died had a prospect of happiness, and a sure hope of obtaining the same. He departed this life on the 10th day of tenth month 1725, and was buried in friends burying ground in East Nottingham the 12th of the same month, aged sixty-three, and a minister 7 years."
Aaron was received at the Radnor MM on Oct. 9, 1701 with three daughters, Sarah, Martha and Mary. He was married to Mary ORRELL in 1688 in Mobberly Parish, Cheshire, England.

He was baptized in the Church of England Feb. 6 1666 at Mobberley, Cheshire, England and later became a member of the Quaker religion.
His will was written Oct 3, 1726 in West Chester, PA and probated 17 Dec. 1726 at Elkton, MD
Aaron's birthday is listed by many as being 25 Oct 1662. The record that is most commonly referred to as documentation says the 25th day 10th month 1662. Prior to 1752 the tenth month was December, not October. His baptism was definitely on 6 Jan 1666. Since John and Susan married 4 Jun 1662 and Aarons's older sister Rose was baptized 30 Nov 1662, it is no likely that Aaron was born in 1662. John and Susan baptized children in 1662-Rose, 1664-Francis, 1666-Aaron, 1669-Hannah, and 1671-Martha.
Also of note is that Susan died 18 Oct 1684 and was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in Mobberley. This means at this point they were not Quakers so Quaker practices do not apply here. Aaron's firstborn child was buried at the Church of England graveyard on 9 Feb 1691. The first indication that he had turned Quaker was in 1695, when he was fined 1 lb for failure to tithe to Church of England. He paid the fine in corn. Somewhere between these dates Aaron and family must have turned Quaker.

Cheshire, England Death: Dec. 10, 1726 Chester County Pennsylvania, USA
From "The History of the Society of Friends in America, Volume 2" by James Bowden (1850):
Aaron Coppock was born in the year 1662, and united with Friends but a young man, and soon after he removed to Pennsylvania. For some years he was an elder in Nottingham Monthly Meeting, but during the latter period of his life occupied the station of minister, in which he manifested a deep concern that his friends might live a life of self-denial, watchfulness and prayer. He died in 1725, at the age of sixty-seven, in a sure hope of an entrance into everlasting life.
Note: His grave is purportedly unmarked. There are also some known discrepancies concerning his precise date of death.
Burial: Brick Meeting House Cemetery Calvert Cecil County Maryland, USA
